Newsletter: February and March
I hope you’ve been managing to make the most of the winter months – I’m very happy to see the days getting longer again, and it would seem spring is around the corner as the horses have started shedding their winter coats already!
Here’s a little reminder for you of the events I am running at Billinghurst Stud this month and next – places are still available on each event, so do get in touch if you’d like to join us!
The next Winter Study Group is on Thursday 18th February at 7.30pm. At only £10 for the evening, it is good value and a great opportunity to delve into some theory and psychology in the warmth of my living room. This next study group will be looking at the LBI horsenality in detail, playing with some rope handling savvy, and also taking a look at the YoYo Game and how it can be progressed! There will also be a study group on Thursday 10th March.
On Saturday 20th February and Sunday 21st February, I am running the next two workshops in the series of Winter Progress Workshops – specifically the Liberty Progression Day and the Freestyle Progression Day. These days are an opportunity to focus entirely on these Savvys and progress your skills at whatever level you happen to be working in. The only prerequisite is that you understand and can play the 7 Games already. Each workshop is just £70 for the day. Spectator places are also available. You have the option to attend one or other or both of the workshops running on this weekend! If you’d like to attend both, you can stable your horse here for the night for £15.
In March I will be hosting Silke Vallentin, 4 Star Senior Instructor, for a 3-day clinic – Friday 11th to Sunday 13th March – horse places are fully booked but spectator places are available at £40 per person per day.
On Saturday 19th March, I am running the last in the series of Winter Progress Workshops – specifically the Principles to Purpose Day. This day is an opportunity to put the games to a purpose, both Online and Freestyle, and to progress your skills at whatever level you happen to be working in. This workshop is just £70 for the day. Spectator places are also available.
Finally, I have another Audition Preparation and Filming Day on Sunday 20th March. This is an opportunity to come along and get some help with planning any one of the Levels auditions, and then getting it filmed while you’re here! The cost for this is just £50 for the day. Horseless participants are also welcome.
